Hurricane Hal has launched Virtual School Visits as a new educational experience! These exciting visits provide the following:
- A high-energy presentation of extreme weather and natural disasters around the world, LIVE from Hurricane Hal’s Extreme Weather Lab in Galveston, Texas.
- An interactive experience, where teachers and students can ask Hurricane Hal questions about his experiences in hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, dust storms, and extreme heat and cold.
- The convenience of interacting with an internationally recognized scientist from the comfort and convenience of your school.
- DID YOU KNOW… Hurricane Hal helped innovate some very early online science curriculums for the Bering Strait School District (near the boundary of Alaska and Russia) while employed by the University of Alaska? This was way back in 2005 and 2006, when the Alaskan villages got connected to the Internet and used Skype!
